No ticket machines here: bring a contactless card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex) or the SL app - cash survives only at staffed metro and commuter-rail counters. One tap on a gate or green platform pole is a 75-minute single valid across metro, trains, trams, buses and boats, no touch out. There is no fare cap; for a heavy day buy a 24- or 72-hour ticket. Do not mix the plastic card and the phone wallet mid-journey - you get billed twice - and one card pays for one rider only. At Arlanda airport station an SL ticket alone will not open the gates.
