Naples
A great port city beneath Mount Vesuvius. Even the metro - and its tickets - splits by company here.
In Naples even the metro splits by company. Lines 1 and 6, some funiculars and the EAV suburban railways take Tap&Go; Line 2 and certain regional lines take Trenitalia's TAP&TAP - the cheapest ANM-only ticket won't board Line 2, and each system prices a missed tap-out its own way. Except the airport bus, neither tap reaches the buses and trams yet, and none sell tickets on board: buy first at a metro station machine or a tabacchi, then stamp on every vehicle and transfer. Two stations serve Pompeii; the one beside the ruins is on the EAV line.
