Stamp a paper ticket exactly once, in a vestibule validator - never on the platform or the train, never again when you change. There is no tap-to-ride: a contactless card here buys a ticket from a machine or terminal.

    Line A: Flora station closed, trains pass through

    Flora station on line A is closed for reconstruction and trains pass straight through without stopping. DPP's 2026 works plan puts reopening in November or December 2026.

How to ride

    Buy your ticket in the vestibule
    Buy at a ticket machine in the vestibule, or at the contactless-only terminal - not once you're down on the platform.

    Stamp a paper ticket in the validator
    Before the white line, push it arrow-first into a validator. Stamp once only - never re-stamp when you change lines.
  3. 3
    The white line on the floor is the fare boundary
    There are no gates. From the moment you cross the white line before the escalators, you must already hold a valid ticket.
  4. 4
    Change lines without leaving the paid area
    Changes between lines A, B and C stay inside the paid area, and you can move on to trams and buses without re-stamping.
  5. 5
    Keep the ticket until you are back outside
    Inspectors work the paid area and the trains, showing a numbered badge before asking to see your ticket.

Heads-up

  • E-scooters and e-bikes are barred from the metro

    E-scooters and e-bikes cannot be taken into the metro at all, even folded (since 1 January 2026). The only exception is a folded e-bike with the battery removed.

  • App tickets only work one minute after activation

    A ticket bought in the PID Lítačka app only becomes valid one minute after you activate it - activating as your train pulls in is too late.
