I live in Japan. I built Starna on my own.

It started with a trip to Switzerland. I found researching a hassle, did not even realise the Swiss Travel Pass existed, and lost out a little. I booked accommodation without checking the first and last trains, and nearly missed a flight. Transport differs slightly from region to region even within the same country, so research matters, but it was a hassle.

So I created Starna, bringing together “how to buy, how to pay, and where to board” for each city.

You can ask generative AI too, but it still often refers to low-quality sites or gives plausible-sounding wrong answers.

At Starna, AI creates drafts based only on official primary sources. After they pass automated checks, I edit and publish them. Mistakes can still happen, so if you find one, I would appreciate it if you could let me know through “Report an error”.
