City bus drivers sell nothing and the on-board terminal takes contactless cards only - cash works just with suburban drivers (routes 300-899). And every stop is a request stop: signal to board, press STOP to get off.

How to ride
- 1Tell the two kinds of bus apart by route numberRoutes 100-299 are city buses, 300-899 suburban; at night 901-917 are city and 951-960 suburban. It decides how you pay.
- 2For a city bus, get your ticket before boardingThe driver sells nothing. Buy first at a stop or metro-station machine, at a ticket office, or in the PID Litacka app.
- 3Stamp a paper ticket once, as you boardPush it into the on-board validator arrow-first the moment you board. Stamp it once only - re-stamping at a transfer voids it.
- 4Buying on board? Use the contactless-marked doorTo pay by card, board through the door marked with the contactless symbol and buy at once from the terminal by the second door.
- 5On a suburban bus, board at the front and tell the driverBoard at the front door and name the stop you want. Cash or card both work, and the ticket is valid at once - no stamping.
- 6Signal for both boarding and getting offStand where the driver can see you to be picked up, and press STOP or the door button in good time to get off.

A declined card does not make the ride free. DPP states that if the transaction fails, your card does not work, or the terminal is broken, you are still not entitled to travel free - you must get a valid ticket another way at once.

A fare check does not end when you step off. If an inspector asked to see your ticket while you were on board, the duty follows you off the bus - they can require ID and personal details and collect the surcharge on the spot.
