The Airport MRT runs to Taipei Main - purple Express about 35 minutes, blue Commuter about 50, same fare. Contactless cards only work at gates with card sensors. City-side Songshan Airport links straight to the metro.

How to ride
- 1Follow signs to the Airport MRTFrom either terminal, follow the purple "Airport MRT" signs down - a 5-10 minute walk.
- 2Choose how to payEasyCard, a single-journey token from the machines, or contactless at sensor-equipped gates. EasyCards are sold at the station.
- 3Express (purple) or Commuter (blue)In a hurry? Take the purple Express (~35 min). Same fare either way, so hopping on whichever comes first works too.
- 4Transfer at Taipei MainA1 Taipei Main connects to the city MRT, TRA, and HSR via walkways - allow a few extra minutes, it's a hike.
