Sweden's oldest university and largest cathedral. Off the airport line, one UL fare rides anywhere for 75 minutes.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)

The gateway is Arlanda. Bus 801 skips the station passage fee, and any UL period ticket of 24 hours or more covers the ride at no extra cost. The train takes 18 minutes, but anyone 18 or over pays 157 kr on top.

How to ride

    Buy the Arlanda ticket before you board
    An ordinary 75-minute ticket is not valid on bus 801. Buy the Arlanda version in the app; a 24-hour or longer pass covers it.

    Board 801 at stop C1 outside Uppsala C
    The stop is C1 in front of Uppsala C. It is 42 minutes to Terminal 4 and 44 to Terminals 2-3.

    Hold the ticket to the reader
    As you board, hold the app ticket or your UL card to the reader by the driver; a green light means it is valid.

    Get off at Terminal 4 or Terminals 2-3
    Bus 801 does not call at Terminal 5. From Terminal 2, Arlanda Express runs there free of charge in a minute.

    Going by train, add the passage ticket
    Any UL ticket is valid on the trains. Over-18s buy the passage ticket in the app or at the Arlanda C gate line.

Heads-up

  • A UL+SL combination ticket is not valid on bus 801

    A cross-county UL+SL ticket from Stockholm does not reach buses 801 and 880 to Arlanda: SL's fare handbook defines each product's validity area as UL's area except UL buses 801 and 880 to Arlanda. If you want the bus to the airport, buy UL's own Arlanda 75-minute ticket, or a UL period ticket of 24 hours or more, on top.

  • UL tickets do not work on SJ trains

    Between Uppsala C and Arlanda/Märsta, SJ long-distance trains share the line with Mälartåg and the SL commuter trains that UL tickets cover. You choose between them on the same platform level, but SJ needs its own ticket - board with a UL or Mälartåg ticket and you are travelling without a valid one. The penalty for that is SJ's to set, and is a separate matter from UL's 1,500 kr.

  • Do not go with a driver who approaches you in the arrivals hall

    Only drivers with a pre-booking may wait inside the arrivals hall, so anyone offering you a ride there has no airport contract. Contracted taxis queue immediately outside arrivals at Terminal 5 and outside Terminal 2. The capped fare applies only to those cars, so ask the price before you set off.
