Tap a bank card on board and you pay the dearest fare - 2.30 euros, good for that one vehicle only. Preload a 1.90 single instead and you get 60 minutes across buses and the metro. Cash to the driver still works.

How to ride
- 1Buy your ticket before you boardAt a Metro ticket machine or a CARRIS shop, load a single or 24-hour ticket onto a navegante ocasional card.
- 2Tap the validator as you boardHold your card to the validator on board; a green light means it is valid. Every ride needs one, even on a 24-hour ticket.
- 3No ticket? Buy one on boardPay the driver in cash, or hold a bank card or the MB WAY app to the validator.
- 4Pay for your whole group at onceOn city CARRIS, press the multi-passenger button, pick the group size, then tap - one card covers up to 10 people.
- 5Show inspectors what you actually paid withShow inspectors the ticket, card or phone you actually used - with a bank card, the card itself is your ticket.
