Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado, LIS)
No airport premium - Aeroporto station sits inside the terminal, at the same flat fare as the rest of the metro. The catch is luggage: city buses take only cabin-size bags, so with a suitcase it's the metro or a taxi.

How to ride
- 1Walk to the metro on the arrivals levelAeroporto station is inside the airport building on the arrivals level - you never go outside.
- 2Buy the card and the ticket from a machineThe ticket desk may be shut; use a machine to buy a navegante ocasional card, then load a ticket onto it.
- 3Ride the Red line into townAeroporto is the Red line terminus - change to CP trains at Oriente, or to other lines at Alameda, Saldanha or Sao Sebastiao.
- 4With a big suitcase, skip the city busCarris city buses only take cabin-size bags, so with a suitcase take the metro or a taxi instead.
- 5Taxis and app cars wait in different placesTaxis queue outside the arrivals and departures terminals; Uber and Bolt pick up at car park P2, level 2, on the arrivals level.
- 6A free shuttle serves Terminal 2Terminal 2 is departures-only with no station or stop of its own; take the free shuttle from Terminal 1's departures level.

Do not take a ride from a driver who approaches you
Do not go with anyone who approaches you inside the terminal. The airport's own guidance says taxis and ride-hailing cars are hired at the designated rank or through the app and never from someone soliciting inside the terminal building, and tells passengers to use licensed transport only.

Buses take cabin-size bags only, the metro allows suitcases
City buses only take cabin-size bags. The airport says a maximum of 50x40x20cm and Carris's own rules say 55x40x20cm - the two official figures differ, but neither lets a checked-in suitcase on board. The metro is the opposite: it explicitly allows you to carry bulky items and provides a wider gate for them.
