How to ride
- 1Get your ticket before you boardThe tram and People Mover sell no tickets on board - buy first from the QR code at the stop, the app or a ticket shop.
- 2Or just tap a bank cardHold a contactless bank card or phone against the reader - that single tap both buys and validates the ride.
- 3Activate app tickets three minutes aheadActivate an app ticket three minutes before boarding; a WhatsApp ticket is active from purchase, so buy it three minutes ahead.
- 4Validate the moment you step onOn the tram, use the on-board reader as soon as you step in; at the People Mover, tap at the station gate.
- 5Tap out on the tramIf you tapped a bank card, tap out again as you leave the tram; the People Mover and the boats are exempt.
- 6Switching to a boat means a different ticketThe 75-minute land ticket is not valid on the boats - switch to a ticket that covers the water network.

Rules
Eating & drinking on board（Banned）No food or drink on board or inside the People Mover premises.
Smoking（Banned）Banned, e-cigarettes included, and that covers the stops too.
Pets（Limited）One muzzled, leashed dog rides free; no medium or large dogs on bus or tram.
Fare evasion fine（Banned）On the tram, riding without a ticket costs 50-300 euro plus fare and fees.

Operating hoursThe People Mover departs every 10 minutes from 07:10 to 22:50, Monday to Saturday, in both directions. On Sundays and public holidays it is 08:10-21:50 in summer (April-October) and 08:40-20:50 in winter (November-March). The 22:54 in the timetable is the arrival at the far terminus, not the last departure. AVM publishes no PDF for tram T1 and T2 - their first and last runs only appear in the online line search.

Tapping out is mandatory on the tram
If you pay with a bank card, tapping out on the tram is mandatory. AVM's EMV conditions of use form part of the contract of carriage, and only the boats and the People Mover are exempt. With no tap-out you are charged the highest ordinary fare for the network you used - on the tram network the conditions of carriage apply the airport fare.

A bike that does not fold into a bag cannot board
A scooter or bicycle that does not fold into a bag within 150cm total is not allowed on buses, trams or the People Mover. Only some water lines carry them, and only with the captain's permission.
