Daily fare capThere is no daily fare cap - you buy a 24-hour ticket or a pass outright.

Facilities

Lifts (step-free)（Limited）BVG says 86% of stations are step-free and 86% have tactile guidance for blind passengers. BVG itself notes that installing new lifts is a slow process.

Suitcases & luggageHand luggage is free; one bicycle is allowed but needs its own bike ticket.

Free Wi-FiFree Wi-Fi ("BVG-Wifi") at all 175 U-Bahn stations.

ToiletsBVG provides no public toilets in its stations; use the city's street toilets.

Rules

Eating & drinking on board（Banned）You may not board with, or consume, open food or drinks.

Smoking（Banned）Banned on trains, on platforms and anywhere in the station, vaping included.

PetsDogs need a child-fare ticket; a 24-hour ticket covers one. Guide dogs free.

Fare evasion fine（Banned）60 euros for no ticket or an unpunched one; on board, cards only - no cash.

English signage（Unverified）English on machines and station signs is not officially confirmed.

Operating hours（Limited）On Friday-to-Saturday and Saturday-to-Sunday nights, and on nights before public holidays, the U-Bahn runs right through the night (about every 15 minutes). On nights from Sunday through Thursday it stops, and night buses N1, N2, N3, N5, N6, N7, N8 and N9 roughly follow the corresponding U-Bahn routes instead. There is no N4, and the U4 is the one line with no night-bus replacement. BVG publishes no consolidated list of first and last trains, and they differ by line and station, so none are given here. The ticket-machine hours BVG does publish (until 01:00 on U1, U7 and U9, until 00:30 elsewhere) are about the machines, not the last train.
