BVG Fähre (ferry lines F10-F24)

All six ferries are BVG lines: the same ticket as the U-Bahn or bus, no extra charge - and one way, all but the F10 need only the cheapest Kurzstrecke. The F21, F23 and hand-rowed F24 are seasonal - none runs in winter.

    Hand-rowed F24 closes for 2026 on 4 October

    The hand-rowed F24 is the first of the six lines to close - it runs only until 4 October this year, and only on Saturdays and Sundays. The south bank of the Muggelsee has little else to fall back on, so keep it out of any weekday plan.

    Seasonal lines F21 and F23 run only to 1 November

    The F21 and F23 are seasonal: in 2026 they run from 3 April to 1 November, and neither runs on Mondays. Only the F10, F11 and F12 operate all year, so plan around those three from late autumn.

How to ride

    Get your ticket before you board
    Buy at a station machine or in the BVG app first. If the landing has no shop or machine, buy from the crew right after boarding.

    Stamp a paper ticket before boarding
    Push a machine-bought paper ticket into a validator - on the landing before you board, or inside the boat as you step aboard.
  3. 3
    Wait at the landing for your direction
    Wait at the landing stage for your direction. The F10 takes about 20 minutes; the F11 and F12 about two.
  4. 4
    Get off at the other side
    Leave the boat when it lands - you cannot stay aboard and ride straight back.
