Paris

The art capital along the Seine. With 300-odd stations, a métro stop is rarely more than a short walk away.

Airport access (CDG / Orly / Beauvais)

Airport trains use a single €14 ticket with no paper version - it lives on your phone or a Navigo Easy card. RER B serves CDG, metro 14 serves Orly, 25-35 minutes to the centre; for 3-4 people the flat-rate taxi can win.

Heads-up

  • Taxis touting inside the terminal are unlicensed

Anyone touting a "taxi" inside the terminal is unlicensed. Use the official ranks outside - real taxis are flat-rate, so there is nothing to negotiate.

  • Orlybus and RoissyBus have been withdrawn

Orlybus was withdrawn in March 2025 and RoissyBus in March 2026 - airport-bus advice in older guides no longer applies.
