Zagreb
Croatia's only full tram network runs through the city. Buy before you board and stamp a paper ticket once, at the machine by the front door. Only the buses make you think about zones.
Zagreb trams (tramvaj)
Zagreb's trams have no gates and no tap-to-ride with a bank card. Buy first, then stamp the paper ticket once in the front-door machine, or touch a ZET IC card at any door. Track works keep lines 1 and 13 off in 2026.

How to ride
- 1Buy your ticket before you boardBuy at a Tisak or iNovine kiosk, or at a ZET office. The driver sells tickets too, but at a higher price.
- 2Buy multi-day tickets at a ZET officeTickets of three days or more are not sold at kiosks, and most offices open weekdays only, mornings or afternoons by day.
- 3Stamp it the moment you boardPush a paper ticket into the front-door machine once; new trams have rear-door machines. No stamp, or one on the back, voids it.
- 4With an IC card, tap at any doorHold a ZET IC card to a reader every time you board - credit alone counts for nothing if you skip the tap.
- 5Keep going on the same ticketInside its window a paper single carries you on; a second stamp voids it. You cannot double back toward the line you started on.
- 6Show your ticket when askedInspectors may be in plain clothes. Show your ticket on request; without one you are required to give your identity.

Track works have lines 1 and 13 off the road
Track works have rearranged the tram map for 2026. Lines 1 and 13 do not run at all, lines 9 and 17 stop short at Trg zrtava fasizma, and replacement bus 602 covers the gap on to Borongaj. Line 7 has been rerouted in both directions. No end date has been published, so do not take a routing app's answer at face value.
