The airport sits outside ZET's first fare zone, so a ticket bought in town falls short. Take bus 290 with a two-zone fare, or the Pleso shuttle to the central bus station - last scheduled departure 22:30.

Come out of arrivals and find the bus stops

The Pleso shuttle leaves from right in front of the terminal by arrivals, and ZET bus 290 calls at the airport in both directions.

Pick your bus by where you are going

The Pleso shuttle runs non-stop to the central bus station; ZET bus 290 serves eastern Zagreb and Velika Gorica instead.

For ZET, cover two zones before you board

The airport is past the zone-one boundary at Petruševec. Buy the two-zone 180-minute ticket, or pick two zones on the reader.

Stamp a paper ticket the moment you board

Use the machine near the first door, once and once only. Tickets sold by the driver need no stamp but cover a single zone.

Buy the Pleso ticket online first

Buying on the operator's own site sends you a PDF with a QR code; print it and show it to the crew as you board.

Take a taxi from the rank beside arrivals

The rank for Taxi Gorica, the airport's contracted operator, is on the ground floor by arrivals. Check the capped fare first.

Tap without picking zones and one zone goes unticketed

Hold a ZET stored-value card against the reader without choosing anything first and it deducts one 90-minute fare for a single zone. An airport trip crosses two zones, so pick the number of zones on the screen before you tap - forget, and you are riding unticketed through one of them.
Payment methods differ from taxi to taxi

Ask the driver how you can pay before you get in. The airport lists card and wallet options for its taxi operators, but adds that not every vehicle takes all of them and asks passengers to check on the spot before accepting the ride.
