How to ride
- 1Pick one way to pay before you go inA contactless bank card, an IC card such as EasyCard, or a single-journey ticket bought with cash - the fare is identical.
- 2Aim at the gate that matches your ticketCards and QR codes work only at the wide accessible gate beside the info desk; tickets and IC cards use the ordinary gates.

Operating hoursThe line is driverless, so no timetable exists - the operator publishes only first and last trains and headways. First departures fall between 06:00 and 06:08 at every station. The 00:00 and 00:15 last trains are departures from the two termini, Beitun Main Station and HSR Taichung, and intermediate stations keep service until that train reaches them, so most of the line runs past 00:15: the final northbound train calls at Taichung City Hall (市政府) at 00:33 and Jiushe (舊社) at 00:47, and the final southbound train calls at Wuri (烏日) at 00:32. Headways are 5-8 minutes on weekdays 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-19:00 and on weekends 10:00-20:00; 8-10 minutes on weekdays 06:00-07:00, 09:00-17:00 and 20:00-23:00 and on weekends 06:00-10:00 and 20:00-23:00; and 10-20 minutes from 23:00 to 24:00. End to end takes about 36 minutes, with 20-50 seconds at each stop.

Kick scooters cannot be used in stations or trains
The passenger rules name using a bicycle, inline skates, roller skates, a skateboard or a kick scooter inside stations and trains as grounds for refusal of carriage. It is not a fine - staff can turn you away or end your journey part-way. The same clause also covers merely carrying vehicles, mobility scooters, electric vehicles and similar powered devices, and the operator never says whether an electric kick scooter falls there, so do not assume that folding it turns it into ordinary luggage. Bicycles are treated separately - folded and properly packed, one counts as normal hand baggage.
