Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)

No special airport ticket exists - the same ZTM ticket covers train and bus, and the station is right under the terminal. The cheapest 20-minute ticket will not reach the centre; the airport says 75 minutes or more.

How to ride

    Head for the arrivals-level stop or the station below
    Buses leave from the arrivals level, stop "Lotnisko Chopina - Przyloty 02"; the rail station is directly below the terminal.

    Buy before you board
    Use a stationary machine at the bus stops or by the station entrance - it takes cash or a card and gives change.

    The 20-minute ticket will not reach the centre
    The trip takes more than 20 minutes, and the airport itself tells you to buy at least a 75-minute ticket.

    Validate the moment you board
    Push the paper ticket into the validator by the door; a ticket bought from the on-board machine is already validated.

    Take a train or bus 175 into town
    Train S2 calls at Warszawa Śródmieście and S3 at Warszawa Centralna; bus 175 also runs past the Central Station.

    After the last train, night bus N32
    Late at night the only departure from the airport is night bus N32, running every 30 minutes to the Central Station.

Heads-up

  • Do not follow drivers who approach you in arrivals

    Do not follow drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall. The airport strongly advises using the licensed taxi services offered on site, and says the tariff should be clearly displayed in the car window - check that it is there before you get in. Reckon on about 50 zł to the centre.

  • The 24- and 72-hour tickets are not sold on board

    The machines inside buses and trains sell only the 20-, 75- and 90-minute tickets - not the 24-hour or 72-hour ones. If you want a longer ticket, buy it first at a stationary machine by the airport bus stops or the station entrance, or in one of the approved apps.
