How to ride
- 1Buy before you boardBuy in the Rejsebillet app or at a station machine. On the metro you must buy before boarding - there is no onboard sale.
- 2Choose zones, not modesYou buy zones, not modes. Count your starting zone as the first one, and the farthest zone you pass through sets the price.
- 3Go straight to the platformThere is nothing to stamp or tap. The ticket is valid from the moment you buy it, so head straight down to the platform.
- 4Check in with a Basiskort or the appTap a Basiskort at a yellow checkpoint before you board and after you leave; the app checks in and out by swipe, with no terminal.
- 5Show the original when inspectedMetro Stewards in uniform check tickets at random on trains and platforms. Screenshots and photos of a ticket are not accepted.
- 6Keep the ticket until you are outThe duty to show a ticket continues after you get off, until you leave the platform and the metro area. Keep it to hand.

Heads-up

The ticket check runs until you leave the platform
Your duty to show a ticket does not end when you step off the train - it runs until you leave the platform and the metro area. Screenshots and photos of tickets are not accepted, and if your phone runs out of power so the ticket cannot be checked, you count as travelling without one. Producing the right ticket afterwards will not get the fine cancelled.

Bikes and non-folding scooters are barred at weekday peaks
Bikes and larger scooters that do not fold cannot be taken on the metro on weekdays between 07.00 and 09.00 or between 15.30 and 17.30, and bringing one at a banned time is treated exactly like travelling without a valid ticket. Folded, an e-scooter counts as free hand luggage - but anything running on petrol is barred at any hour.
