One zone-based ticket covers the metro, trains, buses and harbour boats. With no gates and no contactless, buy it in an app or at a machine before you set off.

No tap-a-bank-card option: buy the ticket before boarding, in DOT's Rejsebillet app or at a station machine. No gates — a ticket is valid the moment you buy it, nothing to stamp — and one ticket, bought by zone count, covers metro, trains, buses and the yellow harbour buses. Bus stops have no machines; only the bus and harbour bus sell on board, cash only. Trains and metro are paid before boarding. The airport sits in zone 4, but fares count from your departure zone: a three-zone ticket reaches it. Even a ride-hailing app sends a licensed taxi.
