Heads-up

Lock outside a MOL Bubi station and you are charged
The only place you can end a hire is a station carrying the MOL Bubi sign; lock the bike anywhere else and you are charged a 10,000 HUF off-station locking surcharge - and a station that is temporarily out of service counts as anywhere else. A plain green-and-white Mobi-point - the shared parking bay used by Lime and Dott - is not a MOL Bubi station. The rule is asymmetric, though - if a bike shows on the map you may hire it even when it is sitting at a Mobi-point. If your station is full, look for another MOL Bubi station nearby. BKK expects every Mobi-point inside the service area to accept returns from autumn 2026.

Two-hour cap; at three hours the bike counts as lost
A single hire is capped at two hours, and any parking break counts inside that window. Go past it and the operator will try to contact you; three hours after the start the bike is treated as lost, with recovery measures and a damages claim to follow. On a long day, dock at a MOL Bubi station along the way and take out another bike to reset the clock.

No riding on pavements; park at a Mobi-point
Neither bikes nor scooters may be ridden on the pavement. Use the road, a cycle path or lane, or a shared pedestrian-cycle zone, and give way to pedestrians and traffic when you set off. Park inside a Mobi-point, marked by the round green-and-white sign, and check in the operator's own app each time that parking is permitted there. Leave a vehicle in the wrong place and the operator may add a surcharge, the amount differing between operators. Shared e-scooters are a separate service from Bubi; the two operators BKK lists officially are Lime and Dott. You may also park your own bike or scooter at a Mobi-point, except in Districts I and II.
