How to ride
- 1Pick the ticket your section needsMagoula-Piraeus-Koropi takes a standard OASA ticket, the airport its own ticket, anything beyond a Hellenic Train ticket.
- 2Buy the ticket before you boardBuy OASA tickets at metro machines or kiosks; buy outer-section tickets at a Hellenic Train counter or in its official app.
- 3Tap in and tap out at the gatesWith an OASA ticket or Ath.ena card, tap at the station gate when you go in and again when you come out.
- 4At the airport, check where the train endsOne train an hour runs into the centre; the rest end at Ano Liosia, and the late ones stop at Tavros, short of Piraeus.
- 5No ticket office? Buy on boardIf you boarded where nothing was open, find the on-board staff and buy from them yourself - do not wait for the inspection.

Operating hoursFrom the official timetable in force since 22 November 2025. On the Piraeus-Athens-Airport line the first train leaves Tavros at 04:03 (Piraeus 05:43) and the last one to the airport leaves Athens Central at 22:04. Airport departures run 05:15-23:32 on weekdays and 05:05-23:32 at weekends, and only the hourly :32 departure runs past Ano Liosia into central Athens - 21 of 53 trains on weekdays, 20 of 38 at weekends. The rest terminate at Ano Liosia. Fewer still reach Piraeus: 18 on weekdays and 18 at weekends, because the 22:11, 23:13 and 23:32 departures stop at Tavros just beyond Athens Central - so the last train to the port leaves the airport at 22:32. The Airport-Metamorfosi section runs every 20 minutes Monday to Friday. The Chalkida and Kiato lines are also roughly hourly; the last Chalkida train leaves Athens at 22:01.

An OASA ticket covers only part of the suburban line
An OASA ticket only covers the suburban railway between Magoula, Piraeus and Koropi. Ride on to Megara, Corinth, Kiato or Chalkida and you are holding nothing valid for that stretch - and on-board inspections are routine.
