The city's bike share costs 1,000 won an hour. You can't tap T-money or a bank card - buy a pass in the official app and scan the bike's QR code. Dock within the hour, re-rent, and one pass keeps you riding all day.

How to ride

    Get the app and buy a pass
    Buy a day pass via the foreigner menu in the official app or on bikeseoul.com (English available). Riders must be 13 or older.

    Find a station on the app map
    Find a station on the app map - bike counts show live, with stations at subway exits, parks and along the Han River citywide.
  3. 3
    Scan the bike's QR code to unlock
    Tap rent in the app and scan the QR under the saddle (or type the 5-digit bike number). Check brakes, tires and saddle, then go.
  4. 4
    Ride on the right, stick to bike paths
    Ride on the right, using bike lanes or the Han River cycleways - sidewalks are generally off-limits.

    Dock at a station and lock up
    To return, rack the bike at a station and push the lock lever fully down - wait for the voice cue and the app's return notice.
  6. 6
    Return in time, rent again
    Return within your base time and re-rent as often as you like for 24 hours - the dock-and-rehire loop is the all-day trick.
