Indonesia
Jakarta
Indonesia's capital of ten million. One of the world's largest BRT networks and a metro run clear of the jams.
The gates take neither cash nor bank-card contactless: an e-money card from a convenience store - or a QR app - is your real ticket, and one covers TransJakarta, the MRT, the LRT and the KRL trains. TransJakarta-MRT-LRT transfers inside the time window ride on the JakLingko integrated fare with a capped total; only the KRL sits outside it. Short hops are fastest by motorbike taxi on Gojek or Grab; hailing on the street, stick to sky-blue Bluebird. The airport train is cashless too - the predictable choice where road times swing with the jams.
