The contactless Visa, Mastercard or Amex you already carry is effectively your ticket: the same tap covers the Tube, buses, trams and London-area rail, and your daily total, buses included, is capped automatically. JCB, UnionPay and Diners Club do not work on TfL services - carry an Oyster card in that case. Buses take no cash at all, and bus-tram transfers within the Hopper window are free. Always tap in and out with the same card and device. Even Santander Cycles rents by tapping a bank card at the dock terminal, no app or signup needed.
